St Mary and St Peter's is the Church of England parish church covering the south-west outskirts of Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. The parish serves the areas of Springwell, Humbledon, Plains Farm and Thorney Close. We are part of the Group of the Annunciation along with St Chad (Farringdon, Lakeside/Gilley Law and East & Middle Herrington) and St Mary, St Thomas and St Oswald (Pennywell, Grindon and South Hylton).
